Everything I Touch is Ruined

Kailey's tree is dying. I feel like Charlie Brown when he said, "I killed it!! Oh, everything I touch is ruined," or some similar comment he makes when he thinks he's killed the little Christmas tree.

I was warned not to plant a tree for Kailey by an acquaintance that has lost a daughter. She said "How will you feel if it dies", and I thought, oh, I'll be okay with it; it's so insignificant compared to my losses.

Yet, looking out and seeing the tree dying, just saddens me so. I feel like I can't do anything right. I know it's just where I'm at right now......... everything I touch doesn't really die. It just feels that way today.

I'm sorry :(

Nicolas' tree almost died. His first orchid did die, the one from his funeral. I admit i felt exactly the same way -- that everything i touch was ruined.

Nevertheless after awhile i just went out and got another orchid -- it looks the same as the original, and is currently blooming up a storm. You can buy another tree, you cannot buy another Kailey. :(

Which makes me think -- didn't you just buy it this spring? Check if it comes with a 12-month warranty. There are trees which contract diseases at the nursery, and it is no fault of yours. Check on this. Also, the crown may die but it may sprout again from the roots next spring -- this happened to a tree that my mom bought when i was little. So you never know, water it & don't give up hope. But check on that warranty.
